HEINZ BECK, THE WORLD FAMOUS CHEF WAS THE GUEST STAR AT THE NATIONAL CONGRESS OF SIIA
Why is the “guru” Heinz Beck talking to the most qualified experts of hypertension who met from 1 to 4 of October at the Rome Cavalieri Hotel ?
The world famous chef of “La Pergola”, the most star-awarded Italian restaurant, has been the privileged guest at the Opening Ceremony of the XXVI Congress of the Italian Society of Hypertension.
His interesting speech centred on the healthy diet advantages.
Nowadays we can reconcile health needs and good food and keep under control the hypertension while enjoying a gourmet meal: this was Mr. Beck’s concept.
Hypertension is a lethal killer (as a matter of fact it represents the 40% of the death rate) but is still undervalued nevertheless: the pathology involves around 15 million people in Italy but only the 40% of the patients is properly treated.
“The nutritional requirements changed, - says Mr. Beck – we are more sedentary and consequently need less calories. The Mediterranean diet is perfect, but we have to introduce some changes: carbohydrates are still necessary but should be reduced”.
The concept of diet is often automatically related to sacrifice and affliction.
Heinz Beck explained how pleasant and exiting it could be.
“Some technical innovations helped the healthy way of cooking.
Llyophilization, that preserves the nutritional value of the elements, and cooking vacuum-packed food instead of using the micro-wave oven: these are two simple ways to get healthy and delicious recipes which respect our body and offer pleasant emotions”
The famous chef demolished some deeply ingrained clichés too.
“People are still conditioned by old and wrong beliefs. A grilled steak, for instance, is considered a light and healthy food, but it isn’t at all: eating a grilled steak is equivalent to smoking 200 sigarettes, due to the smoke generated by the melting fat!”

The cocktail which has been offered to the faculty (around 200 participants) represented a unique opportunity: as a matter of fact the venue was the brand new Acropolis Museum, the architectural highlight of Bernard Tschumi, laying over the archaeological remains and overlooking the Acropolis.
After the museum’s visit the guests could enjoy the fantastic sight of the Parthenon through the crystal walls of the building.
AIM Group managed the congress in detail: as a matter of fact AIM is the partner of ESNR since 1997: during the past twelve years it managed annual meetings and educational courses all over Europe.

AIM GROUP HAS EXTENDED ITS ISO 9001 CERTIFIED QUALITY SYSTEM
After a four-day audit carried out in Milan and Rome offices, other Group’s companies have been “ex novo” certified: AIM Events, AIM Meetings and the roman office of AIM Travel.
During the past ten years AIM extended, step by step, a method and a practice to its companies and to AIM Group Spa itself: today this path has been completed and can rely on a quality system both distinct and homogeneous.
