| Bjorn Folkow Award and Lecture | The Bjorn Folkow Award has been established in
1987 by the ESH with the generous collaboration of ASTRAZENECA in recognition
of the contribution made by Bjorn Folkow to cardiovascular physiology and
pathophysiology. The award is given to a person or persons who have carried out important original research that has contributed to understanding the pathogenesis of hypertension. The Awardee delivers a lecture in the Plenary Session of June 19, 2005. |

| Alberto Zanchetti Life Achievement Award | The Award was established by ESH in 1995 to a scientist with a lifelong high quality scientific research in the field of hypertension. | ||||||
| Lennart Hansson Memorial Lecture | The Lennart Hansson memorial lecture has been established in 2003 to honour his memory and in recognition of his achievement in clinical hypertension research. It is to be conferred to a scientist who has obtained important results in the field of clinical hypertension and trials. | ||||||
| Paul Milliez Award | The Milan venue of the ESH Meeting offers a special opportunity to attribute the award to a French scientist acknowledged for his accomplishments in the field of hypertension. | ||||||
| Jiri Widimski Sr. Award | To be presented to three distinguished young European investigators (not older than 40 years) who have conducted promising research in the field of clinical or experimental hypertension and presented it at European Meetings on Hypertension. | ||||||
| Honorary Membership | Honorary Membership is given to scientists who have made extraordinary contributions to research in hypertension or given exceptionally important support to the activities of ESH. | ||||||
| Servier SNS Research Award of ESH | The Award was established in 2003 and consists of a research grant made available by Servier. It is given biannually by Servier to an investigator presenting a high quality research project on the role of sympathetic nervous system in cardiovascular disease. The selection is made by a committee appointed by ESH. | ||||||
| European Investigators’ Travel and Accommodation Grants | The European Society of Hypertension has provided a limited number of Travel Grants for Young European Investigators, with limited financial resources, whose abstracts have been selected for either oral or poster presentation. Priority has been given to Investigators 35 years of age or under, with first authorship of an accepted abstract. | ||||||
| TRAVEL GRANT: Each travel Grant fee amounts to € 570,00 |

Recipients
of Travel Grants will not be exempted from paying the registration fee.
Travel Grants will be collected at the “On-site registration desk/Travel
Grants” in the secretariat area. |

Accommodation Grants Accommodation Grants will cover the following expenses: Recipients of an Accommodation Grant cannot be given a Travel Grant. One grant excludes the other. |
