MAIN SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME OUTLINE

The main scientific programme is held during three days (June 14, 15 and 16) and consists of State-of-the-Art Lectures, Topical Workshops, Breakfast Workshops, Working Groups Workshops, Debates and Teaching Sessions (European Hypertension Specialist Programme).

Parallel Oral Presentations |
Have been selected
among the abstracts submitted by participants. There are four parallel sessions in the morning and
three in the afternoon of each day. Each
presentation will be given 15 minutes (10 for presentation and 5 for
discussion).

Poster Display |
Have been selected
among the abstracts submitted by participants. There will be a poster
session during lunch-time of each day (June 14, 15 and 16), from 12.30 to 15.30
hrs.
During that time, posters should be attended by authors.

State-of-the-Art Lectures |
Will be given
during some of the sessions with oral presentations and Plenary Sessions.

Are held in
the afternoon of each day (June 14, 15 and 16)

Teaching
Sessions |
One teaching
Session takes place
every day from 12.30 to 14.00 hrs. The aim is to have experts presenting and discussing aspects of immediate relevance to clinical practice.

| Workshops |
Three different kinds of Workshops will the organized during the Meeting: Breakfast Workshops will take place on June 14, 15 and 16, between 7.15 and 8.15 hrs. There are four parallel Breakfast Workshops every morning. The aim is to complement the presentations of original research with a number of prestructured events that addresses problems of methodological and clinical interest in the field of hypertension. A brief review of the problems by two experts will be followed by a general discussion. Topical Workshops take place on June 14, 15 and 16, from 11.00 to 12.30 hrs. and from 15.30 to 17.00 hrs. There is one Topical Workshop in the morning and one Topical Workshop in the afternoon session every day. The aim is to complement the presentation of original research with prestructured events in which recognized experts focus on important basic or clinical problems in the field of hypertension.
