Currency |
| The monetary unit in Italy is the Italian Lira, often abbreviated to ITL. In view of the Monetary Union, the currency chosen for the Congress is the EURO. Exchange rate: 1 EURO = ITL 1,936.27. Other currencies will be accepted during the congress at the official exchange rate at the time of the congress. |
| Banks |
| Banks are open from Monday
to Friday from 08.30 to 13.30 hrs., and again in the afternoon from 15.00 to 16.00 hrs.;
(afternoon opening may vary by about a quarter of an hour depending on the bank). Banks are closed on Saturday and Sunday. Many banks have automatic currency exchange machines that also take credit cards. Most hotels, restaurants and shops accept foreign currency and major credit cards. |

| The opening times of the post offices are: Monday to Friday from 08.30 to 15.30 hrs.; Saturday from 08.30 to 12.00 hrs. |
| Weather |
| June weather in Milan is
generally sunny and warm. The temperature often rises during day at an average of 25°. Light summer clothing is most suitable. Rain is also possible; therefore a light raincoat and something warm for the evening are advisable. |
