BjÖrn Folkow
Award and Lecture

The Björn FoIkow Award has been established in 1987 by the ESH with the generous collaboration of AstraZeneca in recognition of the contribution made by Björn FoIkow to cardiovascular physiology and pathophysiology.
The Award is given to a person or persons who have camed out important original research that has contributed to understanding the pathogenesis of hypertension.
The awardee wilI deliver a lecture in the Plenar Session of june 17.

Alberto Zanchetti
LIFE ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

The Award was established by ESH in 1995 to honour a scientist with a life long high quality scientific research in the field of hypertension. It wilI be presented to the recipient in the PIenary Session of June 17.

Honorary Membership 

Honorary membership is given to a scientist who has made extraordinary contributions to research in hypertension or who has given exceptionally important support to the activities of ESH.
It will be presented to the recipient in the PIenary Session of june 17.

European InvestIgators' Travel Grants

The European Society of Hypertension wilI provide a hundred Travel Grants for European Investigators, with limited financial resources, whose abstracts have been selected for either oral or poster presentation.
Priority wilI be given to those Young Investigators, 35 years of age or under, with first authorship of an accepted abstract.

The Travel Grant fee wilI be Euros 570.

Those receiving Travel Grants will be exempted from paying the registration fee to the Congress.

European Investigators Accommodation Grants 

The European Society of Hypertension wilI also provide a hundred of Accommodation Grants to those participants with limited financial resources, whose abstracts have been selected for either oral or poster presentation.
Priority will be given to those participants with first authorship of an accepted abstract.

The Accommodation Grant will cover the following expenses:
- Registration fee
- Hotel Accommodation at the Ibis Milano Centro Hotel (Via Zarotto, 8), in a single room, for a maximum of 4 nights stay.

The Accommodation Grant will not cover the travel expenses.

The same participant cannot have the travel and the accommodation grants. One grant will exclude the other one.
